On Reddit there was some material posted on how to build a web server with SML. It might interest you, if not for anything real, for learning purposes.

Ich würde nun Ihr darauf warnen, daß OCaml Threads sind nicht echte Threads: The threads in OCaml can not be spanned across multiple processor cores due to the sequential garbage collector.

But there are nice pretty ways to overcome this.
